The 1-ton crew cab body was not as in good of shape as I was hoping. What can I say, I bought it sight unseen and primarily for the 1-ton running gear. The plan was to chop about 4' out of the frame to shorten the wheelbase, then either make a supershort bed or a flatbed. Now I am thinking about getting a blazer and installing the TH400, NP205, Dana 60, and 14BFF.
The wife is getting tired of all the trucks. Now I currently have my '87 V10 daily driver, '85 5/4 ton CUCV work truck which doubles as my current trail rig, '88 1-ton crew cab for parts, '85 K10 drives but leaking head gasket, and a '75 K20.
I was going to put the 3/4 ton running gear from under the '75 K20 on my '87, but decided to keep the stock gear. I bought the '85 K10 for body parts, but it is too nice of shape to part out. I'll probably be selling the '75 and '85 soon, especially if I get my blazer.
