Only a few things left on the SAV left to remove, just taking as much as I can because I hate going to a junkyard needing a clip or some small item that's gonna cost me $10 to $20 that I could've easily kept from this vehicle.

The 6.2 for the K-5 has be turned up for a bit more HP and torque.

A few things blue that weren't before.

Picked up a rig that has D44's front and rear. I will be piecing together the parts for the swap over the next year. Unfortunately I can't do it all right now and don't want to have the jeep down for the time it'll take.

Went to fix the winch controls again today but the terminal ends I got for the power cables are the wrong size. I need some 2 gauge cable terminal ends and I'm doing anymore running around today. So this will have to wait for a few more days yet again. Seems I take 10 steps backwards for every step forward lately.

My jeep has a lot of play in the rear end, I'll probably just run it till it blows, may get around to a new gear set before that happens, kasi's jeep shot out the rear driveline and broke a keeper bolt off, not going to worry about fixing it, just going to install the SLE and 8.8 with a bigger set of shackles to correct the rear leaf sag.

Winch semi reinstalled to find out I had the brake assembly wrong. Back apart and that fixed. then melted some wire just making sure it worked and figuring out which was in and which was out. Found out you can put power directly to the solid state, it draws way too much and melts the wires. Reassembled the remote, sort of, and found out which wire does which. Also figured out that I need to hook up the wires that hook up to the remote and not directly to the solenoid, for reason stated above. Now to get some more connectors and wire it in.

Also the orignal housing for the solenoid is kind of tight and makes getting it all together a little bit of a pain. So I'll build a new one with the provision to plug in the remote once I get new one. thinnest steel I have here is 1/8" so that is what I'll use. May see if I can relocate the box as well with the new housing.

Project Bull-wrinkle stalled for now, have to wait for a trans rebuild kit and $$$ I am going to make a buggy out of one and fix the other trooper for a DD. I will post a demo party date later to finish stripping the body and building a cab.

Winch done, well sort of. Need to spool the cable on. and come up with a little better way to run the wire in for the in cab control but for now it's great. Just need to get the charging system upgraded to keep up with it. My alt has been sub par for a while and the battery has been killed several times so it's not the greatest.

attempted to install the tranny on the truck. dropped it off the jack a couple of times and decided to wait for a little help. I installed a new rear main seal while it was handy.

I am changing the transfer case over from my flanged case to a slip yoke- I know that I am doing it backwards. However the slip yoke borgwarner will work with my stock speedo cable.

When I am finished with the tranny, I need to:

cycle out the power steering fluid
Machine a couple of wheel spacers (so I can run my beadlocks)
change out the rear pinion seal

Need to install new clutch kit. The TOB ticking that's been there for going on 3 years is so loud I'm afraid to drive it and now I can even feel it through the pedal... Anyone have a slide hammer with pilot bearing removal doohickey that I could borrow? I don't really want to do the grease and bolt method but will if I have to.

comming along good with the jeep i need to wire it still, put all fluids in it, rear drive shaft, fenders, and shifter pretty much is all i gots to do.

I have a slide hammer you can borrow but I'm not certain the attacments I have are small enough for a pilot bearing. I was able to remove the needle bearings inside a spindle easily with it the other day.
The bolt and grease trick is easy. Wash off the flywheel with Brakleen when you are done and the grease is not an issue. I have a motor on the stand right now that needs a new pilot bearing. I'll give you a quick demonstration if you want to see it done before you tackle it.

Went to a giant mud bog event about 2 hrs south of orlando, my starter quit on day one because of being submerged in water and sandy mud so we pull started the jeep with my tow rig all weekend, I hit a hole pretty hard and broke the center pin on my front right leaf spring and the axle shifted so that the right front tire was rubbing the fire wall and putting my front drive shaft in a bind. i tied a tow strap to the front axle and jerked it back into place and lined all the leaves back up with a hammer and a screw driver. I used a bolt i stole off a battery tie down on another broke jeep as a new center pin and bogged it like it owed me money for 2 more days with out insident.

My friends jeep is a mud monster, it is a cj5 on 50 inch tractor tires, one tons, atles t-case. it spit a rod out of the bottom of the oil pan. it had a 383 stroker motor. It lasted 3 years running 7000rpms every time so he was not to disapointed it blew up he was just a little down he towed it 3 hrs to a 3 day event and it blew up in the first hour of being off the trailer. We are going to install a 406 SBC in it this weekend he bought from a guy at the swap meet.

on a funny note, a chick buried a brand new f-350 quad cab superduty duellly in a hole all the way to the windows, thy had 2 swamp buggys snatching on it and could not get it out, her husband owned a local construction company and ran to his shop and brought back a Giant trackhoe on a low boy and tied it to the reese hitch and had the truck suspended in the air getting it out. it tweaked the bed up on the truck pretty bad but it fired up and she drove it home.

Pulled to rear diffs this weekend for the zuk, XL-7 rear diffs are way diiferent than sidekick/tracker diffs. Found tracker diff to pull out, Did that Sunday. Stopped by and checked out Marty's scary zuk steering, Love the angle iron supports. Now i have to find time this week to swap the lockrite in install the diff and a new wheel bearing for Steve going away run.

Got parts on the way rear U bolts, wheelbearing / seal and pin/ spring kit for lockrite. I am out for a little bit until i get the parts to do it right.

I got the 67 scout 800 fired back up last night , been since n0v 09 since she has ran ..ended up being a bad ground and fried plug wires .. Buggy is waiting for meet and greet ! Im not wheeling it till then so i can break there and enjoy the weekend ! Lol

oh and we are almost done moving into the craigs old place looking foward to seeing everyone on the trail soon ..if there is any way i can lend a hand let me know im back ..

Got my High idle issue fixed. User error. There are two orfices on the valve cover. The front one is a plain plastic elbow and the rear one is the pcv. So I decided to check the pcv once again and make sure it was ok. Pull it off and is was a plastic elbow.:doh: So I found a pcv from one of the jeeps and put it on. Now it runs smooth at around 650 rpm and works great. Now to get the hood back on it.

Got the hardware and mounts to hook up the crossmember and front springs properly.

Just need to find a bit more time to finish with the rear axle and then the interior.

new garage lights to see what I'm doing out there.

Hoist-a-top hanging for easy top removal now that the TJs too tall for my wife's help Smile (not that I can use it due to the rain).
