Got back from 55 mile and the temp fix on the CV boots had come undone, grease flung everywhere and the two boots were ragged and missing some pieces. I had some used CV boots that were in OK shape so I took the halfshaft apart and replaced the boots. Once I figured out that they came apart relatively easily, I took the remaining parts from 2 broken halfshafts and made one good spare for the passenger side front.

Aside from the grease in the last 93 original shaft being dried up and the boots dry rotting off of it, it was in amazingly great condition. Zero wear or play in the CV's, no twisting of splines , etc. This one has held up remarkably well.

Shiney new B&M Megashifter installed now covered in dust. Smile Rachet shift works nicely. Brand new shiney dent on passenger side door accompanied with scuff marks. Note to self... 'I am twice as wide as a quad'

picked up a front driveshaft for the ZJ and put it in there. I swapped out the CV style driveshaft and yoke cup in favor of the old style U joint style for increased strength and durability.

I also picked up a spare rear axle for the ZJ. I stumbled on an Xj Dana 44, complete from drum to drum, loaded with 3.54 gears and new brakes/drums

I'm now the proud owner of a long-arm lift (5") for the ZJ. Install begins second week of July. 33" MT just jumped up the priority list. Still haven't found a set of rock sliders for cheap enough.
