74 is working, fairly well. Need to fix several things, but it's getting better. If only I could get the trans to shift better.

Finally got some more agressive tires. 38" TSL's. Thanks Darkchild for hooking me up. Not quite what I was going to buy but a little less expensive and since I have never run swampers, it'll give me another frame of reference.

Atlas II working like a charm
Drive shafts holding up without vibration
4" increased ground clearance thanks to Tummy Tucker
Can't wait till the gears are broken in so I can really put it all to the test.

At this point I don't know if I'll ever get it back. If I do, it'll have a brand new transfer case and front driveshaft. Ireally need to wheel.

Before you get up here you should look into insulating that factory hard top (if it's factory)...it doesn't insulate much at all. The soft top does more insulation...if only it didn't have so many drafts. Best of both worlds would be to line the inside of the top with some foam or fabric...or even herculiner. If it's a bestop...then forget all that as they're pretty heavy duty and well insulated.

update on lil' Chief. The ARB and compressor are sitting mothballed until after the PCS. I did rip out all of the carpet this evening, so I am down to floorboard.
I still have not found a T case or a rear axle that suits the needs yet, but that is half the fun, isnt it? The journey is worth as much as the destination.

Ron did you get your tires yet?
•
sold the Taco.
Also ordered ARB Lockers, compresser ,4:88 gears and 12,000lb Milemarker Winch with free wireless control today.
should be here in 2 weeks.
I don't like to Name drop but I have to tell you.
4wheelparts.com is selling ARB lockers and gear pacKages and its like getting the gears and Master intall kits for free. I got everthing shiped to me for $2900.

ron, that looks excellent. Mine used to loolk that nice. For about a week. Does duraback have a UV protectant? My Herc is so faded...
And impossible to clean. There's mud caked into the texture.

Yes, Draback has UV protectant. I wish I would've used it on the ZJ instead of Herc.
Oh well, a lesson learned.

Ron that looks dang good! I've thought about doing that myself some day.

I took a long time to prep in hopes that it is going to last. I put on 3 coats and I still had a bit left in the gallon can.
•
that looks great Ron. How much time did it take you for prep and application?
