sadly enough, I have gotten more done on my Sequoia than anything else this week.

Swapped the accessory belt, read the owners manual to find out some of the intracasies, and took the Seqqie up to get tires swapped only to find out that even though the OEm rim size is 16", my Seqqie is sporting 17" rims for some reason. AAFES sent the 16" versions back, and my 17" version 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler AT's should be in the shop ready to mount on Tuesday.

schweet, did it come with spinners?

here is what the Seqqie looked like on the day I bought it in Bakersfield.

The rig is now dubbed Momma Bear due to it's Disney family stickers in the back window and its seating capacity.

Ron, uhh....

I am not an electrical guru...but I am learning

By remembering some discussions I had with akdsmer, I remembered some simple rules involving wiring and was therefore successful in installing a brake controller in the GMC. A function test showed good so the next step will be the addition of air bags.

The Zj still sits sadly waiting attention.

momma bear apparently has a broken motor lift hook rattling around in there that I saw when Mark and I were talking. Curious about that.

Mark and I were just as dumbfounded as that emotocon you posted. There is no stress fracturing, no twist, bend or crease. Just a simple break. How? dunno.

The motor dos not look like it was lifting or removed at any point in time. So whats the deal? I dunno. The irony is the guy who I bought the rig from had all of his maintenance done at the dealership. I would expect some level of competance from the dealership.

I am not concerned thus far. Altough odd, it doesnt give me any cause to worry as of yet. I have put over 1000 miles on the rig since I picked it up and it has yet to show me anything but a reliable ride.

I'll keep my eye on things

XJ: figured out the 4rwd issue. When I tacked the shift collar in place I didn't do a good jjob of cleaning the area of oil. and I just tacked them. So the 3 tacks I placed finally gave out. I'm leaving as such for now. If I don't find axle shafts before the run on the 19th I'll weld in back in place again. also need to replace the u-joint on that side.

then I investigated the driveshaft noise. The ujoint on the axle end was moving around and shot. The cvjoint is shot and the ujoints at that end are shot. So I have no front DS. I'll have to wait and see who has one in town and the correct u-joints for it.

Bumper build was put on hold for an undeterminded amount of time, seeing as how I don't have any time to work on it. Need a tranny pan bad and need to replace the oil pan gasket and replace the stripped bolts holding it in. also need to replace the rear main seal. Hopefully all this gets done before M&G but seeing as how I only have about 1hr a day to do anything it's going to be hard.

You gotta pay to play, brother. Sounds like your grace period is up.

Yeah. I knew the issues were there but was planning an axle swap and everyting was going to get fixed then. But that's unfotunately not going to happen anytime soon. I even replaced the axle end u-joint last spring.

atleast after some mind relaxing beverages it's streetable.

ok why should skitzo have all the fun ? lol man... seeing as it was a Ao family build i always drool over it and watching how well it was running and size of kev's smile ..

my 85 toy is getting a 351 v-8 , should really add to the fun factor .. i do love the 22r motors but been having hard time as of late keeping them alive lol ..

and this swap will still end up cheaper ... to get the power i want out of it and spin the 35's in the mud ..

91 Burb, goes away today
97 Burb, goes away in six to eight weeks, non-refundable deposit in hand

Will keep eyes open for another DD, and possibly a rig. There's a decent 90 K-5 next door, but the owner needs to change the price, the current one is ridiculous, I paid less for my 97.

fixed my trailer today but no thanks to anchorage 6roblees ... wasilla store rocked and got me on the right track ..

also went and trailered the donor rig to the docs for a heart removal .. it fired right up and sounded so sweet cant wait to have it breathing fire in the 85 soon ..

this week i will start pulling the wireing harness and marking it all for easier installation and so i can thin it down to what i need to run right .

351 is gonna rock in that little truck .
