Well... I got the body lift on the Monty. 10 cut knuckles and a hole lot of frustration later. I don't have a camera so I can't take pictures. She looks good, exccept for the gap on the front bumper. No biggy.

I miss measured so the lift actually came out to 1 1/2 inches instead of 1 inch. Oh well, you can't win them all. Cool I am going to have to cut about 2 inches off the front bumper's side pieces to get it out of the way. I know I can fit 32s now, but I would like to go to 33s. We'll see. Maybe a 305 75 R 16 which comes out to like 32.8 inches. What I want to do is ditch the 16 inch rims and go to the American Racing 767 15 inch rims and 33 inch MTR tires.

Not to burst your bubble but a 305/75 16 is more like a 34. I run stock 265/70 17 and they are like a 32. 265/75 16 would be around a 32

My bad! :oops: I ment 305 70 R 16s. Oops... THis is exactly why I need to go to a 15 inch rim. I won't have to worry about these funky numbers then. :allrighty:

Now I have to figure out how to fill the gaps between my head lights and the bumpers. THey look kind of silly now. :eek:

Buy some rubber mud flaps and cut them in.....Just an idea.

Honestly, I was thinking about that. :allrighty:

I'm also thinking a piece of thin steel like the top plate on the bumper to run along under the head lights accorss the front and attach in on the side fenders under the turn signals. It would have to be about 2 - 3 inches in width and about 6 feet long so it can be bent to match the angles of the truck.

How is your bumper attachet anyways? Eric may be able to fab up some brackets for you to just raise the bumper up.....

Eric posted somewhere that he is not fabbing for the summer. The bumper is bolted directly to the frame. I'm also thinking about a triangular type piece that can attach to the fenders under the turn signals and down to the fender mounts under the lights. I would have to show you to explain it.

He didn't say he wasn't fabbing, he said that he's putting family and wheeling first. As for if he'll fab at all, that's of course up to him.

Eric has lent several tools and the use of the plazma cutter - how stinking sweet that thing is! He's also lent a hand with things here and there. Thanks to you as well.

2T2 - Mr Justin - was at my house for about 8 or 10 hours yesterday and helped me get the trans / t-case in the truck, fab up a trans mount, get the battery tray done, and cut and weld the front drive shaft to length. :allrighty: Didn't leave here until 1:30 AM! Many, many thanks!

Now, the list is getting shorter (as are my hours of sleep - but I should be used to that!)

I need to get the rear driveshaft installed
Figure out exhaust (which I need to find some parts for - just need to dig 'em up)
Run lines for the radiator and find cooling fans
and finish about 1/2 of the wiring.

Then I can start her up. Once I have it running, then I can go from there on the fabbrication of the little extra stuff (like installing a windshieldm etc...) but as long as it is running - in whatever shape the rest of it is in Thursday night - it goes on the trailer!

Thanks again for all the help from all the people who have lent a hand!

A pair of goggles would be easier to install than a windshield. :allrighty:

I ordered my transmission and Atlas II this morning, I need to pull a set of KC lights off so I can mount my other ARB switch and maybe redo my front bumper some.

28this and I fabed up a tire mount for the Taco today he has the pics. all I need to do now is get the lights fabbed and the locker and I am not spending a nother dime on her. untill something brakes :lol:

Gap fill would be good.

Just waiting on the lift kit and 33s now. I have a buyer for the factory Enkei rims lined up. I sold the other parts and running boards tonight and he's also interested in my rims. So when I get back from the sandbox I will be getting either these;

after looking at your pics, I have a fast, cheap idea.

tape off your headlights, and the upper part of your fender. paint that newly-exposed sheetmetal flat-black.

That'll be good, I may have to just shoot it with everything on, you have to take the inner fenders out to get to the bolts for the head lights, but, I'll do it. It'll help. :allrighty:

Rear driveshaft installed, battery tray 98% done - just have to drill and tap a hole for the batt hold-down. Figured how the exhaust will work, as well as where the fuel line needs to run. more in a few hours.
