Here is a link to my build thread on jeep forum for pics (you don't have to be a member of JF to view it). It should take you to one of the last pages so you can have some updated pics:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/slowl...dex18.html

I`m a 29 yr old Dog handler/trainer at Eielson. Just recently got here from the United Kingdom. So happy to be in America again. I met one of your members at the hobby shop here on base (John?). I have a horrible memory. Probably alcohol related lol.

I wanna get involved and learn about land rights and usage here in this territory, and can't wait to take my jeep out. Its having 4.88 gears installed right now $$$$ Sad (will be ready monday). I like to weld and cut metal, but had to leave all the stuff in england and get some american voltage stuff sooner than later.

I`m currently looking for a trailer to haul my jeep around on...BTW (but I still haven't gotten over the Alaska prices on craigslist.

So the specs are:

2007 JKU Dana 30/44 with shafts, front C-gussets, 4.88s. Bestop front bumper, SuperWinch 9500 front winch. Home made rear bumper. 37x17 BFG KM2 Muds. Home made tire carrier/s. Hard and soft tops. CB. and a bunch of other knick nack stuff.

Looks good.
We have a few trails to avoid...one coming up 3/21 or 22... We are trying to decide.

Another run in planning 3/28 which would be better suited for you. Be sure you have looked over the bylaws but you appear to have rig requirements.

See March meeting minutes and watch out for meeting in early April.

Come on out.

Lookd like a nice Jeep, I am sure modifying it in Alaska will be comparable shipping wise as it was in England.

4 door JK may well incur body damage.
3 of the last 4 newbies that I have taken on this trail have never come back.

And, we do typically like to meet folks before dragging them on trails....especially if there is more thn usual risk for damage....you can understand that. It gives us the chance to pick the best trails for you to get in a groove with us. I am not trying to be a trail snob! Your JK would do the trail....probably no problem. See the Equinox run (next run in the upcoming rides) and post up if you are going to come!

Well if i incur damage like i had in the past, i just cover it up with more steel. Wish u could see te damage behind my corner armor Smile i like to carry spare shafts and u joints and everything else to fix my self to get home.. But im still looking for a flat trailer to tow my heep to and from the trail head

I believe they are going to Repp, if so its more of a challenge. Do you have at least a rear locker in your JK? Depending on the route there will be holes, snow / ice covered ledges, rutted up roads and brush, and good times.
