Montero Sport owners are a bunch of pansies.

Over the past few days I have been reading through the http://www.monterosportonline.com forums and I have noticed that the average owner of them is to afraid of hurting it.

Like this guy, he said that he was the only one there and never got stuck. But it looks like he only drove it through 6 inches of water. So? My old Taurus could do that. See: http://msport97.proboards6.com/index.cgi...1133197434

Then there's thess guys, wow, don't get so excited:

These seem to be the only guys that can do anything with a Mitsubishi and they are sponsored by Ralli Art. Notice the one White Montero Sport in the whole thread. It was run in the Baja in 2000.

I must be the only one that is willing to try something with mine. Cool

Well, I went to them looking for some help and ideas and got nowhere. So... I guess I'm gonna have to make this poop up as I go. Let's get started. I need some armor for the ass end of the Monty, here is what i was thinking. I need a rap around, not a reach around for all you Brandon sickos, that looks like this; http://www.familyfleamarket.com/greentre...n%2012.jpg

Since the company that does these is in anchorage, I guess I need to do it localy. Nate, Eric, Damien, any ideas, prices, thoughts, jokes?

Keep in mind that before Monday you were borderline on the same page as them....be careful not to call the kettle black, Mr. Pot. Looks like he tried to get into some good stuff just picked the wrong lines and was smart enough to stay out of the really deep thick stuff that the big boys were getting stuck in.

We need mud pits like that.

Great now I'm hungry. If we just are doing the tube wraparound no bumper price should be pretty low. I would really need to measure for the amount of tube and see how it would attach.

I can bring it over for you to look at this weekend.

That rear bumper looks a lot like Greengo's. There's some pics in the tech gallery. He built it at Kev's in the summer of 2004. Out of monkey bars and jungle gyms.
And that first post reminds me of the Subaru thread from last month. We tore those guys up for being afraid to drive on a gravel road.

What in the world is going on over there in Holeproof land? Measuring another man's tube and seeing how it attaches?
