Tire knife
#1
I was thinking about purchasing a tire knife for siping / grooving tires. Anybody got a recommendation of a brand or where to buy one?

I found some on the web. The one I'm leaning toward right now is the Ideal Tire Knife. It's available in both 115V and 230V models. Both voltage models are the same wattage, so I guess it wouldn't matter which one to buy. It comes with a #5 blade (290") standard and other sizes are available. I think the standard blade would be good for most grooving, but I was also thinking about buying the #10 (.625") blade/head also for getting really creative with tread design. What do you think?

Fix-it has one and has done some pretty cool things before. He might could lend some advice.

No idea on the tech side, but I often wished I could have borrowed one from someone. I bet you could earn back some of the cost with rentals.
