89 toyota drive train swap

looking for some ideas on a motor swap into amandas pink turtle yota build.
I have been thinking, a chevy vortec or tbi 4.3/ th700 r4, th350 or th400/np208 would be great

but was hoping to prod everyones brain on other drivetrain ideas. looking to run 36-42 inch tires.

Why not the 22re and run 36-37s?
I wouldnt make it an overpowered gas hog when you can break less stuff.

If I ever build my 4 door Tacoma, I wont put a different engine in it...running 41.5 tires.
