Salcha-badger development plan - Dr Brian - 13 Nov 18 Attention Trail users! We had a meeting tonight that talked about the development plan for this area. It seems that most trail users do not know this area very well. Most of the input is from dog mushers. The plan is to consider developing a corridor from Fairbanks all the way out to Harding Lake. If we do not get motorized input then the trails will most assuredly be non-motorized in nature. Now, it may not be able to use high-clearance off highway vehicles...that all remains to be seen. But at least accommodating snow machines with provisions for ATVs is really important. Please be sure to get email updates and attend meetings to provide input in this area especially if you know about it. Sign up for updates. http://salchabadgerplan.com One more comment. A mushers at the meeting said: If you walk on a mushing trail and sink in leaving foot prints....you should get off. Keep in mind this is a common concept of trail damage. |
