Rear springs - Zukman - 06 Jan 12 I need new rear springs for the big zuk, Shipping the up here is stupid $$$$$$$. 116.95 ea. is the cheapest. I found some at the Performance Shop here in town but, they are 2" lift springs only, 116.35 ea i will be saving a 100+$ a spring. Now should i go with the 1 3/4 wide 40.5 long or the 2" wide 42"? Rear springs - akram - 06 Jan 12 What's the difference in the spring rate? Also what's the difference on the center pin? Is either going to move the axle? Rear springs - Zukman - 06 Jan 12 Pins are centered on both. spring i am checking on. Rear springs - akram - 06 Jan 12 One thin to think about as well is if you got with the 42" springs what is that going to do the the angle of your shackle? Will it be pushed back to far? Rear springs - Zukman - 06 Jan 12 The shacke will be leaned back a lot and the rate is 10% over stock for both. Rear springs - Zukman - 06 Jan 12 Anyone got a good phone number for Marty? Rear springs - akram - 06 Jan 12 What's a lot? 45* is optimal. Sent Marty's number to ya. Rear springs - Zukman - 09 Jan 12 At least 45 degrees. Rear springs - akram - 09 Jan 12 To me it depends on what kind of ride you want. softer springs for more flex? Or stiffer springs for a bumpy ride? If the long ones wont push you much past 45* I'd got with those. Rear springs - Zukman - 09 Jan 12 I am not above pulling leafs out to get the ride i want and the 2" lift springs are looking like the only game in town. |
