Gear Lube question - coldtaco - 09 Jan 09

So, if your owners manual says to use 75w-90 gear oil in some places and 80w-90 or 85w-90 in the rest can you use 75w-90 for all? This would be transmission/transfer/diffs fluids. Thanks.

Gear Lube question - ARCTIC_EXPRESS - 09 Jan 09

yes 75w-90 it will be stiff so you might cut it with marvel oil or use some syn gear oil

75w-90 would be better than 80w-90 or not? Can you safely use a 75w-90 in a diff or transfer/transmission if the manufacturer calls for a thicker weight oil? I was planning on using a synthetic gear lube. How much would you cut the gear oil if you used some Marvel Mystery oil?

Gear Lube question - Zukman - 10 Jan 09

I am run 75/90 syn in the zuk trans, tranfer, and diffs too.

I use 75w-90 synthetic in everything as well.
