It's just like everything else the government touches. Do the marines really need their own training area like that. Not at all. Ft. Irwin is right down the road and there is plenty of space and time for everyone to share. Especially as we move towards downsizing the military, budget crunches and all that stuff. They have made joint bases everywhere else. Why not there?
