I know you want me to but until I can afford to re-gear I think I'm going to stay with 33's.

michaeljr5 Wrote:She's getting a really bad humming sound from upfront. I think it may be that the tires are really bad. I'm not sure.

Those tires are loud, you should hear them when there's tread on them. Hey Mike, when you are done with the tires just pitch them or what ever, I don't need them. The rims look good, I'm glad they worked out for you.

A quick update on AK Ford Explorer's Exploder... The engine is swapped out, the old one is salvagable and it should be running today or tomorrow. Oo-Rah!

I also got some temporary AT tires on the Monty with the 15 inch rims and now I wait till Santa brings me my lift and then I will try a bigger tire then. On a side note, I let Rob borrow her this weekend and he said some of the Japanesse guys were taking pictures of it. Probably so they can take them home and have a laugh over some sakee at them.

I can see it now, Japanesse guy telling his son, "No, you don't ever do this! No, No, Bad, Bad! Ugly American, mess up pretty Japanesse trucK!"

EDIT: This is where I am at right now. Need to do an allignment and get a suspension lift on her.

ROFLMAO!

Here are some pictures of Rob's Explorer as promised. These are all I have. So rob may need to post more.

I just got home from Rob's house the Explorer is running. It sounds like an over sized lawn mower, but it is running. [Image: headbang.gif] All the cables, wires and stuff are hooked up that I can tell. Rob, have Kevin double check to make sure we didn't miss anything and get those bell housing bolts tightened down and get her out on the trail! [Image: headbang.gif]

HPBO Taco done. Photos soon.
Eric and Justin - The one fender looked sweet before it was finished - can't wait to see the final outcome.

Rob will bring the ford over tonight so we can weld up the exhaust to get him running again.

I did make progress on the Skitzo - dropped the drivelines and t-case out of skitzo. And hopefully tonight I will replace the trans and also fix the PS on the Blazer so I can have trail worthy vehicles again.

Dave has my tow rig at Totem 2 so hopefully by weeks end I will have 2 trail rigs and a tow rig ready to get back at it!

Web wheeling sucks.

I took the front end apart last night and got half of the 3.5 Super Flex in. Now all that is left is the rear, SYE, and Drive Shaft. Makes me nervous cutting the output shaft for the Hack and Tap, but it should be fun.

Ronster

The Jeep is now 4 inches higher than it was 2 days ago. The 3.5 Super Flex went on, as well as the SYE, Driveshaft, and longer Discos. I took it out for a test drive, and the OME shocks are amazing. I thought I was driving in a car! Now all I need is some new shoes and I will be ready to hit the trails!!!

Can't wait to see it Ron. How's about some pictures?!

Ronster

Ill try to get some up tomorrow. It looks ok on the small shoes, but it should look really nice on some 33 MT's.

Got the compressor cleaned and rebuilt....clutch pulley is on and working...ALL I NEED NOW IS A TANK AND THE RIGHT PAIR OF FITTINGS!!!!!

I'm stoked, I'll be installing it tomorrow and just having it sit there unwired and the inlet/outlet covered with tape so nothing gets in the cylinders...then when I get the tank and fittings i'll have onboard air!!!
How big a tank are you looking for? Pat has one of those big blue ones from wal-mart in the area behind the rear seat.
They're pretty inexpensive.

I'm not looking to fill up my only storage area....I'm looking for something that'll fit under the jeep in that area next to the driveshaft.
Wagonburner has new gears - 4.88's, but temporarily no rear locker as the lock right had sheared a pin and cracked the housing. Eric is working the warranty on the Lock right through Randy's.

michaeljr5

Well... Rob's Explorer is running and moves itself now. Thanks Kevin for fixing his exhaust. The motor still has a miss or something cause it is rocking hard when idling. He also needs to get a new battery, and wires.
